Beirut Memorial

In the planning stage…

The Beirut Memorial is a memorial to honor all who served in Beirut and Grenada from 1982 to 1984 and the memory of the 241 peacekeepers—220 Marines, 18 sailors, and three soldiers—killed in the October 23, 1983 terrorist bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon. It is located on the Mall in Evergreen Cemetery off North Main Street in Jacksonville, Florida. It will be erected on October 23, 2019 and dedicated on Movement 10, 2019.  There will be a annual remembrance and ceremony every November 10.
